I assume that I have to change something in Windows firewall to make the new port work.

So for port forwarding to work, your torrent client needs Windows Firewall permission to receive connections on a "public" network. A simple way to do this is to remove the existing firewall entries for the program. Right mouse-click the Windows "Start" button To start Windows Firewall you can find it the start menu, enter "WF.msc" in a command window or: Then when the program is restarted you will be prompted again asking whether to allow connections from "private" and "public" networks. Find your client, right-mouse click and "Delete". There is probably one entry for TCP and one for UDP. But as I said it may be easier to just remove the existing rules and use the prompt that comes up when you start the client. Please provide the following information qBittorrent version and Operating System Or just change the entry to make it work. QB hasn't been seeding & uploading for almost 20 days now.Ī ton of my torrents keep saying they are Queued & I've never ever seen that in the 3 or so years I've been using your software. Yesterday my website coder tried to help by tweaking something so it only says TCP, it may have tweaked something, but there's still torrents saying "Queued & most of them are no closer to finishing.Īnd no, I never changed any of the settings prior to this.

This all started after you last update if memory serves. I posted in another post that your forum isn't working either, that I can't log in, I can't do p/w reset, & I can't even contact you guys via the forum & no one has responded to that thread. Good Morning So I have my Wireless Router manually configured with OpenVPN (ExpressVPN) and so anything on that network automatically is on VPN, need no firewalls etc. Even my website coder tried & he also got the same results.

Using qBT on Windows 10.0.2.101) I have 0 issues download and uploading. After installing TrueNAS (10.0.2.102) and then qBT. Want to back this issue? Post a bounty on it! We accept bounties via Bountysource. With same active torrents I was uploading upto 80 GBs per day with utorrent. Then I switched back to qbit because of spam and ads nature of utorrent. The ideal upload rate for qBittorrent is 80 of your maximum broadband speed. Same connection Same torrents all active. If you don’t know your headline speed, go to or other speed testing site and find out. Then select Speed in the left pane of Options within qBittorrent. Set Upload speed in the Global Rate Unites Upload. loin2kolpotoru a little late on that news. Yeh, I was pretty sure that wasn't the issue. The main display of qBittorrent is, unsurprisingly, fairly basic in scope and design, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t feature packed.

1 tho Im uploading to him Ive been uploading to this particular peer (the purple one) for about 2hours at 'high' speeds but he. I never changed anything in the settings, so why all of a sudden was I having a problem.Īnd the owner doesn't seem to care about fixing that or fixing the issue with his forum. I mentioned somewhere that I can no longer get into the forum, I get errors even when I do a p/w reset or even try to sign up. So are you switching back to Utorrent? I never liked it.

Maybe there's another torrent software we aren't aware of? However, perhaps with the specific VPN provider I use, have found one possible issue / vulnerability If the VPN does not fully disconnect, but it times out (in that limbo state similar to when first establishing a connection but before getting an IP address), qbittorrent still seems to be uploading (i.e. I'm at least happy to learn it's not just me. I thought maybe my ISP was blocking me from seeding.

My geek friend said there's no leechers & that's why it's not seeding, but clearly if you are moving to utorrent & it's working, then the details about how many leechers is wrong. It's a shame, I always loved this software despite the odd bug.
